Anima.
I see everything through the eyes of a child.
With wonder, innocence and lust.
I’ll feed upon your knowledge to nourish my soul.
You’ll feed upon my virtue and devour til the child within me loses her voice.
I see everything through the eyes of a child.
With wonder, innocence and lust.
I’ll feed upon your knowledge to nourish my soul.
You’ll feed upon my virtue and devour til the child within me loses her voice.

This is a beautiful poem and powerful. The concept of innocence being taken deeply pains me.

A powerful and poignant message about the loss of innocence, and the lack of protection that should come from adulthood. The strong, descriptive words bring alive the vivid imagery of the likelihood that adults will turn the youth and taint it. Adults miss the youthful days, but do not remember enough to help children retain theirs.
